Beaches in the local area
Carvoeiro Beach
A small sheltered secluded beach in the town centre with a selection of shops nearby and a variety of restaurants/cafe’s overlooking the sea. Loungers and parasols are available for hire. A selection of activities are available including boat trips, pedaloes and jet ski’s.
Centianes Beach
A lovely beach situated about 20 minutes (walk) from Carvoeiro centre, you can enjoy a relaxing lunch at the beach bar with amazing sea views. Loungers and parasols are available for hire and a selection of water activities (Banana Boat, Pedaloes) can be found here.
Praia Marinha
Praia da Marinha is a beautiful beach, Embedded in the rocks of the western Algarve, it offers fantastic scenery and magnificant views from the cliffs.
Praia Grande and Praia da Angrinha
Lovely sandy beaches located near Ferragudo within Portimao’s harbour walls. Praia Grande is the larger of the beaches and has a number of restaurants and bars along the sand providing a wide range of food and drinks. This is a popluar beach for tourists but if your looking for a slightly quieter beach Praia da Angrinha is only a short stroll away.
